Don’t you wish you could replace the pills, the gels, the lotions, the facials and the expensive dermatologist with one natural treatment that’ll finally clear your acne…fast?
Well, you can stop wishing and make it come true – Today.
Blue light therapy is scientifically proven to destroy acne-causing bacteria naturally and fast – Without redness, skin-drying or any other side effects.
But Is Tanda Clear Plus the best blue light acne home device? Will it work for you or is it money down the drain? What’s the difference between Tanda Clear and the much cheaper Tanda Zap?
The answers are all here, in this detailed review of the Tanda Clear Plus Professional Acne Clearing Solution Device:
Tanda Clear Plus Review
Tanda Clear Plus is a cordless hand-held blue light therapy home device (FDA cleared and Health Canada approved) that combines acne-bacteria killing blue light (414nm) with sonic vibration and gentle warming.
Here’s what you get when you buy the Tanda Clear Plus:
1. Cordless Handpiece – This is a very important feature because it means you can blast your pimples or blackheads while watching TV or reading, and you can move around with it with one hand free to do anything you want.
Also, the device beeps every 30 seconds so you’ll know when the required 3 minutes of treatment have passed.
2. Treatment Head – The Tanda Clear Plus treatment head emits blue light rays through LEDs (LED is non-invasive, painless and requires no recovery time. It is safe for all skin types and tones).
The treatment head is quite large (compared to the Tanda Zap, for example) which means less treatment time to cover all your problem areas.
However, if you’re trying to eliminate acne breakouts on larger areas than your face (back acne, for example), I would recommend buying a table-top device like the Caribbean Sun Light Therapy, which has 2 large panels that can cover a much larger area in a single treatment.
3. Recharching Stand – Through my research I’ve found that the Tanda Clear needs to be recharged quite often. Some people claimed that you have to recharge it after each treatment.
4. Goggles – A Few studies have found that looking directly at blue light rays may harm your eyes so most people buy goggles with their blue light device. In this case you won’t have to, so it saves you a few dollars.
How Much is the Treatment Time?
According to the manufacturer’s instructions, you’ll need to hold the device on each treatment area for 3 minutes, twice a day. They promise that you see a change in your complexion in no more than 24 hours.
While 3 minutes don’t seem like a long time, remember that you’ll need 3 minutes for each problem area.
If you only trying to fight breakouts on your chin and T-zone, treatment time is reasonable. But if you have to cover you entire face or larger areas, it could take you about half an hour, twice a day.
But if it works as promised – I think it’s well worth the time spent, don’t you?
Does the Tanda Clear Plus WORK?
In my research, I’ve found that buyer’s satisfaction is not consistent.
, claiming that it flattens and destroys cystic acne in a matter of 24 hours and with long-term use it prevents their acne breakouts all together.
Some users have complained about the recharger not working and having to send back the device.
Others say it hasn’t worked for them at all, but I have to say they’re the minority.
Amazon buyers have rated the Tanda Clear with 3.8 stars.
Skinstore.com buyers have rated it with 4 stars.
Does the Tanda Clear Plus Work for Cystic Acne Too?
In my research I’ve found that yes, the Tanda Clean can work wonders with cystic acne.
Many users have reported that they got rid of their cystic acne in just a few days, instead of a few weeks.
Does the Tanda Clear Prevent New Breakouts?
This is actually the greatest benefit in using blue light therapy, and the Tanda Clear specifically.
When you use it regularly, it can completely prevent new breakouts. The minute you spot a new blackhead, or a new zit coming, you attack with the Tanda Clear and stop it dead in its tracks.
More than that, preventing new breakouts will also prevent new acne scars!
If you already have acne scarring, blue light therapy will not help you much, and you’ll need to use red light therapy to reduce and fade your existing scars.
In this case I would recommend for you to get a device that combines both blue and red light therapy – Like the highly rated Lightstim Acne Light.
Does the Tanda Clear Warm the Skin?
The Tanda does warm you skin, but it’s gentle warming, with some calming buzzing and the entire experience is comfortable and even relaxing.
Tanda Clear Side Effects
Blue light therapy devices, including the Tanda Clear, make a completely safe and natural acne clearing solution.
No side effects were found in studies so far, but I do recommend to protect your eyes with the goggles in each treatment.
Who Will Benefit from the Tanda Clear Plus (and Who Won’t!)
The Tanda Clear is perfect for anyone who’s sick and tired of their endless and exhausting daily skincare routine, the Benzoyle Peroxide, the awful antibiotics and the regular dermatologist visits.
If you suffer from occasional acne breakouts, on limited areas on your face, you’ll be thrilled with the Tanda Clear Plus.
Even if your acne is severe and chronic, most chances are you’ll benefit greatly from regularly using the Tanda Clear.
On the other hand, if you suffer from back acne, or other large areas on your body – A hand-held device like the Tanda Clear is not relevant to you. It will take hours every day to manage your acne.
Again, in this case I would recommend a large 2-panel table-top home device, like this one.
Also, though the Tanda Clear Plus can prevent new breakouts (and new scars), it can’t treat existing acne scars. For this purpose you’ll need a red& blue light therapy device.
Tanda Clear vs. Tanda Zap
The Tanda Zap is a much cheaper and smaller blue light therapy home device by Tanda.
Since the Tanda Zap treatment head is so much smaller, it’s only relevant for people with the occasional zit.
Also, the Tanda Zap uses batteries and can not be recharged. The batteries run out pretty quickly.
But, if you’re not sure whether blue light therapy can help you banish you acne, you can try the Tanda Zap first (only about 30$ on
Amazon) and if it works you can upgrade to the Tanda Clear (or one of the 2 most popular blue light therapy home devices).
I hope you’ve found this Tanda Clear Plus anti acne review helpful.
A blue light therapy home device is a natural and safe way to eliminate your zits and prevent acne breakouts at the comfort of your home, any time you need it.
The Tanda Clear Plus works for most people, though it will most beneficial for mild to moderate acne breakouts, on relatively small areas.
For chronic acne sufferers it will require daily ongoing and consistent use, but if it works, and you can avoid harsh chemicals, antibiotics, gels, lotions and the dermatologist – It’s worth every penny.
